in compliance of Railway Boards orders vide their letter no E(NG)H/2006/Re-2/11 Pt-V dated 01.05.2012 application in the prescribed format are invited from Handicapped Candidates for recruitment under Special Recruitment Drive for filling up the following posts:-

Note: A. Out of above 10 posts. 05 posts are reserved for Visual Handicapped & 05 for Hearing Handicapped. In the event of non-availability of suitable candidates/less candidates for specific handicapped category (VH/HH) against the post reserved, the posts may be exchanged within the limit of vacancies reserved for VH&HH.
B. As per provision in The persons with disabilities (equal opportunities, protection of right & full participation) Act. 1995 definition of the above handicapped are as under:-
Blind: (i) Total absence of sight. (ii) Visual acuities not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (smeller) in the better eyes with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees of worse.
Low vision: A person with impairment of visual functioning even after the treatment of standard refractive correction but who used or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device.
Hearing Impairment: Loss of hearing ability in both the ears or loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
Age relaxation:- upper age will be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates & 03 years for OBC candidate. Ex servicemen as for rules will be given in addition to above.
Age limit:- Age limit should be fulfilled as on 01.07.2012.
How to apply:- Application is invited on the prescribed perform. Along with application (Annexure-I) Educational, Technical, Caste, Handicapped certificate (the disability certification be accepted which has been issued by a medical board dully constituted by the Central/State Government) and certificate related for ex-serviceman, attested by Gazettes officer should be enclosed.
