Appointment of Meritorious Sportsmen for the Post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of 01 (One) post of [DC in the pay scale of Rs 5200 - 20200 + Grade pay Rs 1900/- (Group C) clerical grade from amongst the meritorious sports personnel with proven records of sportsmanship. Educational and other qualification required for the posts are as under:-
1 Games. The games which are handled by this Organisation are:-
(a) Volley ball (b) Football (c) Kabaddi (d) Table Tennis (e) Carrom (f) Cricket; and (g) Shooting
2. Qualitative Requirements.
(a)  Minimum educational and other qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board or University.
(b)  *Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on manual type writer. Or
"Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer.
"However, it is not necessary that the Sportsperson should qualify in type test before appointment as clerk, but after appointment they should qualify in the type test conducted by the department. Failure to qualify in the prescribed type test will result in adverse consequences as per norms in-vogue.
(c)Desirable Basic Knowledge in Computer                                                                                     -
(d)           Age Between 18 to 27 years of age as on closing date for receipt of applications (relaxation of age upto maximum of 05 years will be applicable to a sportsperson. In addition, 05 years relax­ation for SC/ST and 03 years relaxation for OBC is also applicable.

(e)Performance in Sports. Sportsperson who fulfill the eligibility conditions; will be considered in the following order of preference:-
(i) First preference to those candidates who have represented the country in an International Competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
(ii)Next preference may he given to those who have represented a State/ Union Territory in the Senior or Junior level national championships organized by the National Sports Federations recognised by Deptt of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by the Indian Olympics Association and have won medals or positions upto 3rd place. Between the candidates participating in Senior and Junior National Championship/ Games, the candidates having partici­pated and won medal in Senior National Championship should be given preference.
(iii) Next preference may be given to those, who have represented a University in an Inter uni­versity competition conducted by Association of Indian Universities/ Inter university sports board and have won medals or positions upto 3rd place in finals.
(iv) Next preference may be given to those who have represented the State schools in the National Sports/ games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place.
(v)Next preference may be given to those, who have been awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.
(vi) Next preference may be given to those who represented a State/Union Territory/University/ State school Teams at the level mentioned in categories (ii) to (iv) but could not win a medal or position in the same order of preference.
3. General.
(a)Besides furnishing attached copies of certificates in support of age/ educational qualification and caste, the applicants are also required to furnish any one of the following testimonials/ cer­tificates in support of his/her proficiency in the discipline i.e. certificates to the effect that he/ she has represented in the state/ UT or the country in National/ International tournament or has par­ticipated in Inter University Meet or in All India School Games organized by All India School Games Federations. Specimen Form in which the above certificates are to be furnished is given in Annexure to the Appendix.
(b)Applications will not be entertained unless duly filled and accompanied by attested copies of the required certificates.
(c)The selection process will involve Field Trials to ascertain the playing capability of the appli­cants, followed by the interview.       -
The closing date for receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of the adver­tisement in the Employment News
