Date : -16/10/12 Closing Date : -20/11112 Time up to : -17.00 Hrs. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for
the two posts of Scout & Guide for Pay Band 5200-20200 Grade
Pay-1800 (erstwhile Group 'D' posts) on Ajmer Division North Western Railway.

Scouts & Guide achievements-The following qualifications holder can apply
(a) A
President's Scout/ Guide 1 Ranger!
Rover. OR Himalayan Wood Badge Holder
OR
Apre-HWB
trained Scout Leader/Advanced Trained Guide! Leader /Captain.
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scout's
organisation forat least 3 years in the recent Past
i.e. 2009-10. 2010-11,2011-12 and current 2012-13 should be continued to be
active.
( c ) Should have
attended at least one event at National level and one or two event at State
level OR
Should
have a good record of participation in Scouts /Guides activities at Unit/ District level. 5
(a) 5
years for SC/ST candidates.
(b)
3 years for
OBC candidates.
(c)
Widow 1 Divorcee
/ Judicial separated lady's upper age limit - 35 for General, 38 for OBC, 40 for scisr.
(d) 5
years forJ&K residents' who lived in J&K State 01/01 /1980 to
31/12/1989.

Recruitment Procedure : - All eligible candidates will be called for 'written
test which will hold on 06/01/2013. Then
according to merit order 5 times of written test qualified candidates will
called for interview.
7 Proposed Syllabus for written test: - History of
Scouting 1 Guiding, Law & Promise, Organisation Distt. & State level, Treining Centre -
DiStt. & State level, Knowledge of Books; Scouting for Boys /Guiding for
Girls in India, Motto left hand shake, Salute, Prayers, Flag song, National
Anthem, Knew the National & Scouting flags
Social Services, at various occasions, Hiking, Proficiency, Badges how are these are earned?, stages in Scouting / Guiding, Thinking
Day, Progressive Training of Scouts/Guides/ Rovers/Rangers,
Pioneering, Handicrafts, Indian Railway Jamborette, National Jamboree, Jamboree
on theAir.
8. Examination Fees: - Demand Draft 1 Indian Postal Order of Rs.40/- should be drawn in favour
of District Commissioner North Western Railway
Bharat Scout & Guide Ajmer. Demand should be of any Nationalised Bank
payable at Ajmer. IPO should be payable at H.P.O. Ajmer. This DD/IPO is not
refundable, issuance of DD/IPO should be after
the date of Notification. SC/ST, Woman. Minorities like- Muslims, Sikhs,
Christian, Buddha, Zoroastrians, Peruses, and economically backward
class candidates whose family annual income
is less then Rs.500001- are exempted from paying above fees on
producing/enclosing of necessary certificate in prescribed 'D' form with
application form. Authorised to issue economically backward certificate:
(a)
Distt.
Magistrate ITahasildarlAny Revenue Department Officer.
(b) Sitting Member of Parliament of your constituency.
(c)
B.P.L. card
holder/ Central Government certificate of Poverty.
(d) Recommendation from Central Sports Minister.
(e) Recommendation from Rajya Sabha Member for candidate of
his constituency.
9. How to apply: -Application form in prescribed
Performs should be addressed to Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer Divisional Office North Western RailwayAjmer
along with supported documents like- Educational Qualification, Date of Birth,
Caste Certificate, Self attested photo stat copies of Scout & Guide
certificates, 2 latest pass port size photos in
Scout/Guide uniform & 2 self address 4X10
inch size envelopes with Rs.5/- postal stamp on
it. Last date of receipt of application is 20/11/12 up to 17 Hrs after this no
application will be accepted. Railway will not
be responsible for any postal delay / loss. The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to a
dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Divisional Rail Manager's Office, North') Western
Railway, Ajmer up to 17.00 Hrs on 20111/12. No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by
Registered post / Currier will not accepted. Any deficiency/ discrepancy found .in the application and papers
submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope "Application for
Direct Recruitment against Scout-Guide Quota for the Year
2012-13" should besuperscripted.
10.
Important Instruction: - Candidate should bring original documents of tenth or
equivalent Board certificate, education
qualification, certificates for Scout! Guide achievement, caste certificate,
etc on the day of written test,
without which they will not be allowed to appear in the selection. Certificates
in language other than English or
Hindi should accompany by an attested translation in English/Hindi. All
documents should be self attested. No
TA 1 DA 1 Accommodation will
be given for appearing in the written test / interview.
The Railway Administration have all rights reserved to fix any date as deemed
suitable, change place or even cancel
due to unforeseen circumstances against which no such claim will be accepted. Selected
candidates may be posted any where atAjmer Division North Western Railway.
11 Rejection of
application: -Any of following deficiency 1 discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted
by the applicant will render the application invalid.
(a) Application'
not on prescribed format,incomplete and ill eligible applications.
(b)
Application
notfilled in either English / Hindi language.
(c)
Application without
self attested photo copies of date of DOB, education qualification / Scout I
Guide achievement certificates !other requisite certificates / self pass port size photograph
in uniform / thumb impression unsigned.
(d) Application without an attested translation in English /
Hindi of those Certificates who are in other languages.
(e) Application without Last 3 year's event certificates duly
countersigned by their respective -District Commissioner of
Scout/Guide.
(f) Except
those who got fees exemption. Application without fees.
(g) Application
received afterthe last date.
(h) Application without fulfilling the complete criteria and
without following each every instruction. (1) Any other defidency/
discrepancy.
12 The Railway Administration have all
rights reserved to make any changes or rectify mistakes in Notilm'en issued.
13.
For any lega, i dispute, the jurisdiedon will be legal jurisdiction
area of North Western Railway.
