Western Railway requires 64 Group ‘C’ Posts against Sports Quota Jobs/Notifications/Recruitment 2012
2.AGE LIMIT : Minimum 18 Years and maximum 25 years as on 01/07/2012.
3.Only those sportsmen who have acquired the sport achievement eligibility norms in the championship after 01/04/2010 and are activewill be eligible to apply for appointment against sports Quota. For validity of sports achievement, concluding day of the championship/event shall be taken into account.
4. Examination Fees : Indian postal Order for rs60/- for Group “c” post in PB-1 Rs 5200-20200+2400/2800 (GP)and Rs 40/- in PB-1 Rs 52200-202000+1800/1900/2000(GP). Postal Order should be drawn in favour of Western Railway Sports Association, Mumbai which is non refundable. Postal orders issued before the date of issue of Employment Notice (i.e 30-06-2012) will not be accepted, and such application form will be rejected and amount forfeited.
Exemption from Examination Fees: SC/ST, Women, Minorities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians {Parsis}) and economically backward classes candidates are exempted from examination fee. Economically backward classes mean the candidates whose family income is less than Rs 50000/- per annum. The following are authorized to issue income certificates in given format ‘A’: i. District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer up to the level of Tehsildar ii. Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha for persons of their own constituency. iii. BPL Card or any other certificate issued by Central Government under a recognized poverty alleviation program or izzat MST issued by Railways iv. Union Minister may also recommend to Sr. Sports Officer any person from anywhere in the Country. V. Sitting Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha for persons of the District in which these MP’s normally reside.
5. Selection Procedure : All eligible candidates will be called for Trial and after Trial only the FIT candidates will be called for interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
